Created in 2021, the Sport Pass can once again be requested this year by young people wishing to join a sports club. The 2026-2027 program reintroduces the age group of 6-13 years old. A decree of August 28, 2026 specifies the new modalities.
Who Can Benefit from the Sport Pass in 2026-2027?
-
Young people aged 6 to 17 whose family income quotient (Family Allowance Fund or Agricultural Social Security) is less than or equal to 699 €.
-
Young people aged 6 to 19 in a situation of disability who are recipients of the disability child benefit (AEEH).
-
Young people aged 16 to 30 who are recipients of the disabled adult allowance (AAH).
-
Students under 28 years old who benefit from a grant (university grant, annual aid from the Crous or regional grant for a health and social formation).
What is the Amount of the Sport Pass for the 2026-2027 Season?
The aid provided by the State is 50 € per person (70 € in 2025-2026). It is awarded to sports organizations, which pass on the reduction to the subscription (or license) you purchase.
In addition, in the first quarter of 2027, a complementary aid will be awarded by the CAF to recipients aged 6 to 17 who activated their Sport Pass at the start of the 2026 school year. This support aims to help families finance their children's sports equipment.
How to Benefit from the Sport Pass?
Beneficiaries receive their Sport Pass code directly by email mid-September 2026, at the address provided by partner organizations (CAF, MSA, Crous). If several of your minor children are eligible for the Sport Pass, an email is sent to each of them, containing their personal code.
This code must be given to the sports club, which applies the 50 € reduction directly at the time of registration. If the amount of the registration is less than 50 €, the club commits to ensuring that the difference still benefits the young person (sports equipment, club clothing, etc.).
The Sport Pass can be used for any registration made between September 1 and December 31, 2026.
You can check your eligibility on the pass.sports.gouv.fr website and inquire with eligible clubs and structures.
Where Can the Sport Pass Be Used?
The Sport Pass can be used for a registration in:
-
a club affiliated with sports federations approved by the Ministry of Sports, Youth and Associative Life (school federations are excluded from the program);
-
an association approved as 'youth and popular education' (JEP) or 'sports';
-
a commercial sports leisure structure (for example, a climbing gym or a fitness center).
Find associations and clubs near you that accept the Sport Pass through the interactive map of the Ministry of Sports, Youth and Associative Life. If the sports structure you are interested in is not listed, it may be a partner but not referenced. Do not hesitate to check directly with them.
