National Diploma of the Brevet, Baccalauréate, CAP: Exam Dates Published on August 28, 2026 - Public Service / Legal and Administrative Information Directorate (Prime Minister's Office)
National Diploma of the Brevet (DNB), Baccalauréate, Certificate of Professional Aptitude (CAP)… Find all the exam dates for the 2026-2027 school year.

Given the intense heat in June 2026, the calendar for the 2027 session was designed to ensure favorable conditions for candidates. This is why most of the written and oral exams will take place in the morning.
National Diploma of the Brevet (DNB)
Common written exams
The common written exams of the DNB for all candidates will take place:
- Thursday, June 24, Friday, June 25, and Monday, June 28, 2027 for the normal session.
Specific written exam
The specific foreign language exam for individual candidates will be held:
- Tuesday, June 29, 2027 for the normal session.
All information on the National Diploma of the Brevet.
The written exams of the Brevet cover 4 subjects: French (3 hours), Mathematics (2 hours), History-Geography and Moral and Civic Education (2 hours), and Sciences (1 hour: 2 disciplines among Physics-Chemistry, Life and Earth Sciences, Technology).
The oral exam assesses the quality of expression, on a project conducted in art history or as part of an interdisciplinary practical education (EPI) or one of the educational pathways. It takes the form of an individual interview of 15 minutes (5 minutes of presentation and 10 minutes of interview) or a group interview of 25 minutes (10 minutes of presentation and 15 minutes of interview).
Professional Brevet
The expression and knowledge of the world exam of the spring session will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2027.
Baccalauréate
For the general and technological baccalauréate, continuous assessment accounts for 40% of the final grade, with the remaining 60% split between the anticipated French exam (written and oral), the anticipated mathematics exam, the philosophy exam, specialty exams, and the Grand oral.
General and technological baccalauréate

Philosophy exams: Monday, June 14 morning

Written specialty exams: Wednesday, June 16, Thursday, June 17, and Friday, June 18, 2027 morning

Grand oral (at the initiative of the academies): from Monday, June 21 and no later than Friday, July 2, 2027
Anticipated French exams (in first-year class)

Oral exam (at the initiative of the academies): from Monday, June 21 and no later than Friday, July 9, 2027
Anticipated mathematics exams
- Monday, June 21, 2027 from 8am to 10am
Professional baccalauréate

For the metropolitan academies, Réunion, Mayotte, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, as well as for Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon and French Polynesia, the written exams of the professional baccalauréate are set for Thursday, June 3 and Friday, June 4, Monday, June 7 to Wednesday, June 9, and Monday, June 14 to Friday, June 25, 2027, only in the morning.

The practical and oral exams of the professional baccalauréate are conducted according to the instructions mentioned on the calendar of each specialty, with the exception of the project oral exam which will be held from Monday, June 21, 2027.
The results, for the general and technological baccalauréate and for the professional baccalauréate, will be communicated from Tuesday, July 6, 2027. The so-called make-up exams will run until Friday, July 9, 2027.

National Diploma of Arts and Crafts
The general education exams of the National Diploma of Arts and Crafts will be held:

Thursday, June 3, 2027 for foreign languages (as far as possible, the written and oral parts will be held on the same day);

Tuesday, June 8, 2027 for French;

Wednesday, June 9, 2027 for History-Geography and Moral and Civic Education.
Certificate of Professional Aptitude (CAP)
The written general education exams of the CAP will be held, for the normal session: Monday, May 31, Tuesday, June 1 and Wednesday, June 2, 2027.
