Back to School 2026: A Practical Guide for Starting University Life Published on July 10, 2026 - Service Public / Direction of Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)
Are you a student in your final year of high school and planning to continue your studies in higher education in the fall of 2026? Apply for grants, housing assistance, reimbursement of health expenses, or discounted meals: learn about your rights and get information on the various procedures to follow. The Ministry of Higher Education and Research provides, free of charge and online, information that you should know from the start of your student life.
A new version of the guide 'On the Way to Student Life!' is available on the Ministry of Higher Education and Research website. This booklet is primarily aimed at students finishing their high school years; it informs them about the rights and procedures related to student life. You can find numerous details regarding:

Access to social criteria grants and other financial aids;

Student engagement (voluntary work within an association, civil service engagement, volunteering, etc.);

Sports and cultural activities;

The role of Crous (student dining, campus life, etc.);
