Volunteer missions are now open to everyone from the age of 16 on the public volunteering platform JeVeuxAider.gouv.fr, provided they reside in France.

This commitment allows for the development of concrete skills useful for orientation (teamwork, project management, autonomy, assistance to individuals). It can be highlighted on a CV and in the Parcoursup file in the final year.

Specific support for minor volunteers

Minors benefit from specific support to become volunteers:

  • each mission and each association are verified by a territorial referent who also ensures close follow-up and is reachable at any time;

  • the young person's schedule, pace, and mental availability are respected, with missions available in flexible formats (occasional or regular);

  • missions focus on areas particularly interesting to adolescents: sports or cultural events, environment, communication...

Becoming a volunteer from the age of 16

The different steps of a mission:

  • find a mission that matches one's personality among the approximately 4,000 proposals open to those under 18;

  • offer assistance by writing to the organization;

  • become a volunteer after agreement with the head of the chosen organization and the legal representative of the adolescent;

  • highlight the commitment by requesting a certificate of participation in the volunteer mission. The young person can add this document to Parcoursup.

Finding a volunteer mission

The platform JeVeuxAider.gouv.fr connects individuals interested in a mission with associations looking for volunteers. The offers are varied:

There are also remote missions:
