The so-called Le Meur law of 2024 applicable from January 1, 2025 aims to strengthen the regulation of furnished holiday lets. The goal is to encourage permanent housing in areas where the real estate market is tight.
It notably established the obligation for all co-owners who have declared themselves as holiday let landlords to inform the syndic of co-ownership. Furthermore, new rules of co-ownership must explicitly state the authorization or prohibition of holiday let rentals.
