The Skills Passport, a new tool to track and enhance your professional journey Published on June 30, 2026 - Public Service / Legal and Administrative Information Directorate (Prime Minister's Office)
The Ministry of Work and Solidarity is launching the Skills Passport, a public digital service designed to facilitate the management and enhancement of professional journeys. Free and secure, this service allows you to gather, verify, and highlight throughout your life the skills, qualifications, professional experiences, and training you have acquired.

Created by the law of September 5, 2018 on the freedom to choose one's professional future, the skills passport is developed and managed by the Caisse des Dépôts.
Available in beta since spring 2023, this secure public digital service, accessible from age 15, aims to centralize and enhance all skills acquired throughout initial training, continuing education, and professional experience.
The 2023 Full Employment Act expanded the Skills Passport to better recognize skills acquired outside the professional context alone. Volunteer, associative, or civic experiences can now be integrated and valued in your journey.
What is the skills passport?
Integrated into the My Training Account platform, the Skills Passport centralizes your entire professional and training journey in a single tool. It brings together in particular:

diplomas, certifications, titles, and qualifications delivered by a certifying body since July 2021;

professional experiences, both employed and self-employed, from 2017 onwards;
-
continuing education funded at least partially by public funding;
-
personal and civic commitments (volunteering, voluntary service, civil service, etc.).
The Skills Passport thus allows you to highlight all skills acquired throughout your life, whether from professional, associative or civic activity, training, or a diploma.
How does the Skills Passport work?
The Skills Passport is based on four key features:

My journey: brings together your professional and training data;

My skills: identifies and maps acquired skills;
-
My CVs: helps create structured and reliable CVs from your data;
-
My future: suggests paths to progress, train, or change careers.
This tool makes your job search or training processes easier and helps you better highlight your achievements to employers and training organizations.
Who can use the skills passport?

All active workers: employees, job seekers, self-employed professionals;
-
Young people in training or professional integration;
-
Professional support providers (employment advisors, training organizations).
For employers, the Skills Passport constitutes a reliable and secure source of information, facilitating recruitment and skills identification processes.
The data in the Skills Passport is strictly personal. It is accessible only to the passport holder and can only be shared or used with their consent.
Skills Passport deployment: timeline and key stages
The official launch with the "My CVs" service marks the first stage of a progressive rollout of several features. The "My achievement certificates" and "My future" services will further expand usage in the coming months.
June 22, 2026: opening of the "My CVs" service;
4th quarter 2026: opening of the "My achievement certificates" service, allowing the issuance of certificates and official guarantee of diploma and certification obtainment;
2nd quarter 2027: opening of the "My skills" service;
4th quarter 2027: opening of the "My future" service.
