The Anti-Fraud Law introduces new obligations for health transporters aimed at combating certain types of fraud related to patient transportation (falsified routes and invoices).

These measures also allow verifying the accuracy of billing in relation to the actual route taken. In this regard, health transporters must:

  • Use a certified geolocation system by the Health Insurance on all their vehicles during their routes;

  • Implement an integrated electronic invoicing system.

The implementation of this new system is scheduled to take effect no later than January 1, 2027.

Pending texts will provide the details necessary for the implementation of these measures.
