In a news update published on July 21, 2026, Urssaf indicates that accommodations for businesses affected by fires and extreme weather have been put in place.
Employers can in particular request a deferral of their social security contribution payments. In this case, no penalties or late payment surcharges will be applied automatically.
Self-employed workers can also benefit from a deferral of their contribution payment deadlines, without additional fees or penalties.
The request can be made from the "Messaging" section, then "Declarative Procedure" and "Report an exceptional situation." It is also possible to make the request by phone at 3698.
CPSTI (Independent Workers Social Protection Council) is implementing an emergency plan for self-employed workers affected by fires and extreme weather. This is financial aid that can reach up to €2,000. This aid can be requested by craftspeople, merchants, and liberal professionals covered by CPSTI: titleContent or Cipav: titleContent. A form to make the request is available on the CPSTI website. Once the form is received, the payment processing time is generally 15 days.
