Forest Fires in Gironde: A Call for Business Solidarity Published on July 27, 2026 - Entreprendre Service Public / Direction of Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

In light of the forest fires in Gironde, a call for business solidarity has been launched on Sunday, July 27. Entreprendre Service Public provides an update.

In response to the fires affecting Gironde for several days, rescue services are seeking businesses that can provide earthmoving equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, water tanks, and similar machinery.

Rescue services are also looking for drivers to operate these machines.

Any business able to offer assistance should contact the Departmental Operations Center for Fire and Rescue Services of Gironde (CODIS 33) via email at [email protected] with the following information:

• the name of the business;

• the type of equipment and quantities available;

• the town where the equipment and drivers are located;

• the number of drivers available;

• specify the means of transporting the machines, possible schedules, and the duration of availability.

CODIS teams will inventory the available resources and contact businesses when the proposed equipment matches operational needs on the ground.
