ICPE and IOTA: a new online procedure is available Published on March 9, 2026 - Entreprendre Service Public / Directorate of Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)
A new online service has been set up to submit a modification file to the prefecture and the instructing service. It concerns classified installations for environmental protection (ICPE) and installations, structures, works, and activities impacting water and aquatic environments (IOTA). Since March 5, 2026, it is possible to submit a modification file for an AIOT (Activities, Installations, Structures, Works that include ICPE and IOTA) via electronic transmission.
This new procedure called "MAIOT" allows:

better orientation of submitted files;
-
automatic receipt confirmation after file submission.
However, confidential documents should not be transmitted via this online service. They must be submitted directly to the instructing service in a separate paper envelope.
Additionally, it is not possible to modify an ongoing electronic procedure.
